We happened upon this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon drive and decided to try. We will be new regulars! I’m vegetarian, it can be tricky to find a good meal outside of urban areas. At Thompsons Kitchen there were several well balanced choices, I loved my dinner, my carnivore husband greatly enjoyed his as well and the seasonal craft cocktails were fantastic. Service was great, and a warm, cozy atmosphere. For gluten free diners there were several options as well. What a treat to find!

This place is SO good! We love the location and the fact that it's a quiet and semi-secluded little gem away from the busy part of town. The character is unmatched! The service is always very sweet and welcoming, and they do a great job! We absolutely love the food. There's quite a variety of options to choose from! The fries are a MUST TRY! We try to make this a regular spot for us when we come into town! We've always been pleased with our visits and highly recommend it!

Katelyn was our server on a Thursday evening and she was welcoming, warm and attentive. She explained the specials and answered all questions and shared with us her favorites. The atmosphere was pleasant and comfortable. We both chose the cheese burgers and they came out hot and cooked just like we ordered them. We asked for a couple items to be omitted and they were. Ok, the burgers...the bun was tender and it wrapped around the burger perfectly and squished everything together just right. It comes with a slather of generous, tangy pimento cheese and a comeback sauce that just seals the deal. Every bite I took there was a bit of pimento cheese or sauce and instead of using my napkin at first, I just licked all that deliciousness off. Sorry if you saw me and noticed. It comes with pickles but I omitted them. The beef patty is top tier quality and seasoned just right. That burger is a GOOD burger. I was full. We ordered the house made lemonade and it was cold, yummy, thirst quenching. Katelyn kept our glasses filled. We'll be visiting again. I'll probably order the cheese burger (I keep thinking about it) but my husband wants to try the bulgoggi. Yeah, we'll be back and will be recommending Thompson's Kitchen highly to everybody. Had a great time here. The food was really good. I tried the shrimp dip and had the pork entree on cornbread. Both were excellent. We split a couple of desserts that were amazing. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great. We saw an amazing jazz band!! Incredible piano player!

The Thompson's Kitchen is easily one of our favorite spots! They offer a unique, ever-changing menu that consistently impresses us. The staff is always welcoming and attentive, and the food is outstanding. They expertly blend flavor profiles you'd never expect to pair together, creating dishes that are both surprising and delicious. Highly recommend!

HIGHLY recommend this gem! Unique, eclectic setting and absolutely delicious food. We've been there about eight times in the past year and have never been disappointed. I don't have a photo of their Smashburger, but it was the best burger I've ever had. Locally owned by a sweet family, too!

Exceptional in every way! Food, service, atmosphere! The menu is so good it is difficult to decide on what to order. Each visit is wonderful, greeted with such a warm welcome! The place itself is a delightful blend of interesting antiques and upcycled architecture. Love, love, love! I would be there daily if I could! PS: their expert attention to avoid cross contamination and the beautiful variety of GF menu items makes The Thompsons Kitchen a safe choice every time.

The service is stellar. Just the right amount of checking back with us, and the knowledge of the dishes and history of the place was an added bonus. The food was definitely high end with beautiful presentation. The flavor profiles were awesome! We had the stuffed pork chop and Mediterranean pasta dishes along with two signature cocktails. Even though we were so full, I had to get the bread pudding to go The prices were fair. This is definitely our GoTo restaurant for taking out-of-town guests to! Can't wait to return ourselves.
